This is a position to look after two children aged 8 and 7. • Supervising morning routine: ensuring school bag is packed, clean clothes ready, encouraging independence in daily living - washing, dressing, eating breakfast, etc. • Accompanying to and from school in the car: using time to learn by e.g. listening to foreign songs, playing word games, reading stories. • Ensuring homework is done, either at school homework club or at home, with assistance if necessary. • Encouraging speaking, listening, reading and writing in German: keeping a reading journal, regularly updating reading material, listening to reading, hand-writing practice. • Supervising bedtime routine: bathing, bedtime stories, etc. • Preparing snacks and serving meals, monitoring of a balanced daily nutritional diet. • Acting in loco parentis, maintaining high standards of behavior, reinforcing appropriate discipline. • Liaising with the school and with visiting teachers (chess, music, swimming, etc); providing a stimulating environment, looking for opportunities to develop their general skills and knowledge. • Making arrangements, with others, for the provision of day-to-day requirements such as stationery, clothes, toiletries; liaising with house-keeping staff to keep the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organized. • Observing the daily timely schedule of classes: accompanying to lessons e.g. ballet, gymnastics, horse-riding. • Accompanying on holiday, packing luggage, assisting arranging trips and social activities. • Undertaking appropriate creative, educational and outdoor activities making sure that all that is required for them is available. • Encouraging good personal hygiene and health: hand-washing, etc • On advice, administering medication when necessary. • Ensuring safety at all times; liaising with security staff. Compensation package • Work week consisting of not more than 6 days per week (should the days worked exceed this amount, it will be compensated by additional days off) • Mobile phones use provided with the limit of 300$ • 1 annul air flight home compensated by the Employer • 28 vacation days provided annually
