Below are details of what may be expected of a live in nanny in London, the UK and Europe.  Little Ones have many live in nannies and nanny positions available.

• Live in nannies typically work between 10 and 12 hours per day 5 days per week (some families require 2 nights babysitting included in the salary).
• A live in nanny may work a 24 hour 5 or 6 day shift for a higher salary.
• A live in nanny is able to care for children of any age, from newborn. Little Ones will only offer nannies who have the experience with children of the family’s age group.
• Duties include: washing and ironing the children’s clothes, preparation of meals, ensuring children’s bedrooms are clean and tidy, homework assistance, shopping for the household, driving the children, educational activities such as teaching a second language, arranging play-dates and social schedule, planning children’s extracurricular activities, keeping the parents informed of any developmental progress in a child.
• A live in nanny will be provided their own bedroom and privacy when “off-duty.” Some families are able to offer separate accommodation to a live in nanny.
• Experienced Live in nannies are in high demand so many families try to offer a separate bathroom and, where possible, living space to attract a higher calibre of live in nanny.
• In London a live in nanny with more than 3 years professional experience will earn between £300 and £450 net per week. Dependant on family requirements and nanny’s experience.
• Live in nannies working abroad command higher salaries of £550 to £850 net per week depending on the requirements of the family.
• 24 hour live in Nannies will expect salaries of over £500 net per week.
• Less experienced live in Nannies working fewer hours will be happy with a salary of £250 net per week.
• Live in nannies are able to travel with the family and offer 24 hour live in cover while the parents are away. In such instances a set salary will be arranged.
