- Below are details regarding what may be expected of a Part Time nanny:
- Part time nannies typically work between 10 and 12 hours per day for one, two, three or four days per week. Part time nannies typically live out, not with the family.
- Part time nannies may also work mornings only.
- Part time nannies often study part time or have nannied for many years and prefer only a part time position.
- Part time nannies may also take two or three part time positions on different days. It is preferable for a family to offer consecutive or flexible days as a wider variety of nannies will be interested in the position.
- Weekend nannies may work 24 hours from Friday to Monday morning.
- A Part Time Nanny is able to care for children of any age, from newborn. Little Ones will only offer nannies who have the experience with children of the family’s age group.
- Duties include: washing and ironing the children’s clothes, preparation of meals, ensuring children’s bedrooms are clean and tidy, homework assistance, shopping for the household, driving the children, educational activities such as teaching a second language, arranging play-dates and social schedule, planning children’s extracurricular activities, keeping the parents informed of any developmental progress in a child.

- In London a nanny with more than 3 years professional experience will earn between £8 to £12 net per hour. Dependant on the nanny’s experience.
- Part time nannies may be able to travel with the family if they do not have another position.
