It was with great pleasure that I interviewed Petra. Petra came across very professional, she was punctual, pleasant, knowledgable regarding nannying and governess duties and driven. Petra is looking for full-time work, preferably in London but she is open to other areas/countries.
Petra comes from New Zealand and she holds both NZ and British passports. Petra is highly educated and is a qualified NZ trained primary school teacher, with experience working with children aged 5 - 13 years. Her curriculum strengths are reading and writing along with visual arts and physical education.
Petra loves travelling and has lived and worked in both America and England, she enjoys visiting museums and galleries to take in the amazing wealth of culture and history on display. Travelling has also helped her to develop her communication skills, understand different perspectives and to be flexible and adapt to different social situations.
Petra has spent over 10 years working in childcare through one form or another. While previously working in the U.K. she worked in several London primary schools as a learning support assistant and also worked as a Nanny for two different families based in London. Petra expressed great enjoyment working with both families especially working together with the parents to provide all the educational and developmental needs of the different children.
Growing up in NZ provided her with regular opportunities for swimming in the sea and swimming pools. Petra has previously completed lifeguard training in America and is a confident and competent swimmer. She has enjoyed playing sports from a young age especially netball, basketball, cricket, and touch rugby. Petra has also had the great ability of coaching various different primary school sports teams. She describes herself as a capable cook and especially enjoys baking. Petra is very pet friendly, she was lucky enough to have different pets growing up therefore she likes taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes.
