An Au Pair is needed in the area of Southend, Essex to join and help the family take care of their two school-aged children. A Spanish-speaking candidate is highly wanted by the family as they are learning Spanish but they are willing to settle for an English speaker. A valid First Aid Qualification is a must. It would be advantageous if the candidate is a confident driver but this is not essential. The working hours is negotiable but will initially be asked for a Monday to Friday schedule with a morning and afternoon shifts.
Duties will include:
- Helping children with after-school activities like homework
- Providing healthy meals and snacks for the children
- Providing supervision and constant care to children
- Being disciplined with the children when required
- Tidying up children's bedrooms and play areas
- Playing with the children and taking them to the park
- Planning and organising age-related activities
- Stimulating children to read and be active
- Reading to and with the children
- Implementing daily routines
- Preparing healthy meals
- Light Housekeeping related to the child
- Help with the laundry and organising school bags
