A family in the picturesque Island of Jersey, are looking for an Au Pair to join them as soon as possible for a period of one year. You will be living in the family home and will be provided with a double bedroom and a private bathroom.
The family have one school aged child and a small puppy. You will work from Monday to Friday, up to 35 hours per week. You will be responsible for collecting the child from school in the afternoon, driving the child home, preparing evening meals and getting the child ready for bed in the evening.
The family are seeking an Au Pair who can drive, as you will be required to collect the child from school by car. You will be provided with a car, and the family will cover the cost of petrol for working hours.
The family may require occasional babysitting, but this is rare. The family travel on holiday twice per year, usually once on a summer holiday and skiing in the winter. The Au Pair is welcome to join the family on holiday, but you can also stay in the family's home if you would prefer. The Au Pair is not required to do any housework or cleaning.
Jersey is a British island located in between the UK and France. This role would suit someone who appreciates the beauty of a rural setting, whilst being a short distance from white sandy beaches. You can fill your spare hours in the day by taking the family's dog for a walk, perfecting your surfing skills or exploring the Islands castles and forts.
The Island has a real community spirit and holds regular festivals and events. Jersey has everything from high street shops and popular bars and restaurants, to white sandy beaches and peaceful rural walks.
You can spend your weekends sunbathing on the beach, swimming in the sea or sipping a cocktail in the city centre. You can explore the coastline by kayak and participate in lots of outdoor activities. This is an English speaking household and a great opportunity for Au Pairs who want to improve their English.
